MediScanAI is a health information and medication management app that provides:

• AI-powered health information responses (via Dr. Chat)
• Medication reminders and adherence tracking
• Medicine information lookup
• Nutrition scanning and lab report reading
• Symptom checking and wellness guidance

MediScanAI is a personal health companion tool — not a medical device, not a clinical service, and not a substitute for professional healthcare.

MediScanAI does NOT provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or professional medical advice.

All information provided by MediScanAI — including responses from Dr. Chat, symptom checks, drug interaction alerts, nutrition analysis, and lab report interpretations — is for educational and informational purposes only.

You must:

• Always consult a qualified, licensed healthcare professional (doctor, pharmacist, or specialist) before making any health decision
• Never delay seeking professional medical advice because of information provided by this app
• Never ignore professional medical advice because of something you read in this app
• Not use this app in medical emergencies — call 112 or your local emergency number immediately

We are not responsible for any health outcome resulting from reliance on information provided by MediScanAI.

4. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use MediScanAI
• If you are under 18, you must have consent from a parent or guardian
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• One account per person — do not share your account with others

5. User Responsibilities

By using MediScanAI, you agree to:

• Use the app only for lawful purposes
• Not misuse the AI features to generate harmful, false, or misleading health information
• Not attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app
• Not use the app to harass, harm, or deceive others

6. Accuracy of Information

MediScanAI uses AI technology (Anthropic Claude) to generate health information. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI can make mistakes, provide outdated information, or misinterpret input
• Drug databases and health guidelines change frequently
• Information may not be applicable to your specific health condition, age, weight, or medical history
• Always verify critical health information with your doctor or pharmacist

7. App Availability

• MediScanAI is provided "as-is" without guarantees of uninterrupted availability
• We may temporarily suspend the app for maintenance, updates, or technical issues
• AI features depend on internet connectivity and third-party API availability (Anthropic)
• We are not liable for losses arising from app unavailability

8. Intellectual Property

• MediScanAI and all its content, design, and code are owned by MediScanAi-official
• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes
• You may not copy, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any part of the app without written permission

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• MediScanAI and its developers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Ambernath, Thane, Maharashtra, India.
